Circus Punks are also known as knock-down dolls. Originally hand-made by the carnies who deployed them on the midway, designer Circus Punks come out of Fresno, California, designed by some of the better-known artists of the lowbrow crowd.

In 2005, the Punks mavens invited artists to decorate blank punks for a group show at the Toy Tokyo Showroom in New York City.
